For whatever your thoughts of snow, either positive or negative, it is beautiful. All the dinginess of the ground is covered by a white layer of puffy stuff. That is the way God looks at us. We have a lot of dirtiness, we have a lot of scars and flaws, but God sees the white coat of Jesus. That’s pretty amazing isn’t it?
“Come now, let us reason together, says the LORD: though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall become like wool. Isaiah 1:18
I love the new year. We get to start anew. We can look at the year that was past, and reflect on the lessons learned and the ways we have grown. We can take solace that as life changes, and we can change too, hopefully into a more fully developed human being. God has big plans for us, He always does. He has joys that we can barely imagine. God does not promise an easy road, but a journey rooted in the heart of Jesus.
Lets us look forward to another year with our Lord. He is coming soon, and we shall see His face. Let us embark on the road He has set for us and trust in His leadings. A new year brings new hopes and goals. We have much to improve, and God willing we will take further steps to the character of Christ.
Whatever the new year brings, let’s take it head on with faith. I’m excited for the year to come. From the challenges we will face to the new people we will meet. We get to learn more of Jesus, and see His love manifested in our church. We are a year closer to the day of the Lord, hang on my friends, we are almost home!
