Let the Peace in Christ Rule in Your Hearts

It’s been a tough few weeks for my family. I just wanted to say thank you for all the prayers and thoughts. Church has been a blessing to us, and I am glad that I am part of this church family.

Life is not easy, and it certainly isn’t easy going it alone. Having family, friends and church makes life much more bearable. Knowing what is important to us, helps us give more time and energy to the things are important to our lives. I notice that there are many people who have had bad experiences with church. I am sad that this happens, but I hope people do not give up on church. There is a lot of good here, and the more we give to our church community the more we can get out of it.

And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body. And be thankful. Col. 3:15

The Lord tells us to make peace. The inner man is always at war with each other. The selfish heart is always wanting to put the individual above all else. The blessing comes when we all try to lift each other. Heaven will be a wonderful place. Heaven is a place where everyone is wanting to please each other more than ourselves. Isn’t that what Love is? Church can be a place where we practice such habits, and when our love is united, then Christ’s character can be reflected to the world. God loves His church. What a blessing to be part of his body. Each day, everyone, living and growing for Jesus. May the Lord bless you with these words.
