Take a deep breath

There are no guarantees in life. As Forest Gump famously said, “life is like a box of chocolates”, you just don’t know what you will get. We don’t know what life will throw at us. We do have one assurance, we are not alone. I guess this is the belief that backstops all my decisions and interactions with the world. I don’t have to get everything “right” because God can help me with whatever comes my way. Of course this is not an excuse to throw away all personal responsibility. I have seen many people “trust” in God, but in reality, they don’t follow what God wants for us. In doing so, it brings much pain into our lives. We can’t control what happens to our lives at times, but If our goal is to follow God in every instance, we can know that God will take care of us.

And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.

Romans 8:28

Life is truly a journey. No road is set before us, every day we make choices and we live on the road that is our life. God will always be there, if we allow Him to be. He will guide us if we ask Him for help. He can help us when we do make wrong decisions. God will ultimately get us to our destination, but our road there will be one with ups and downs. Take heart my friends, we have a friend, Jesus will walk with us if we choose to let Him. Take a deep breath, take a brave step forward, God has you.
