It has been said, “Time waits for no one”. The seconds pass every moment, and those precious seconds will never come back to us. My wife recently lost a close friend, and she still has many memories of her friend. We ask the question, “where did the time go”? Are we really that old? When our time is done here in this world, what did we want to do with it?
“LORD, remind me how brief my time on earth will be.
Remind me that my days are numbered
— how fleeting my life is. Psalm 39:4.
God is a redeemer of time. What does that mean? God is able to make our time last forever. How? Whatever time is given to God and His purpose, He can take that time spent and turn it into something eternal. Our time matters, our lives matter, the lives of others matter. What we do on this earth can make a difference for the eternal hereafter. Our time with God is never a waste, our walk with God is something we are building for eternity. Every moment we can spend with others, that builds stronger connections in Jesus, is worth spending because life eternal is to be shared with others who love Jesus. Every hour we spend helping others, investing our time for their future is the seed that can germinate into something everlasting. There is no wasted effort sharing Jesus with others. Not every person you share the gospel will take it to heart, but by sharing we are blessed.
We have one life here on this earth. A most precious gift. What will you do with it?
