The Work Never Stops
As long as we have breath. As long as there are people to witness to. As long as we have room to grow. We march on. Sometimes it gets tiring, sometimes I wish there was a break, but life continues, and time never stops for anyone.
The church has decided to take a cooler approach to summer. July has come, and we felt our church needed a little break in the action. Time to catch up with life and rest up a bit. Take time to rest our mind, and build up for second half of the year.
There will be no staffing meetings in July, neither will there be any Council meeting or Board meetings. No meetings. Go camp somewhere. Find yourself a nice place to relax and take break from church worries. There will be plenty to do, and we will have a plenty of time to get things done. As I said before, the work never stops.

And he said to them, “Come away by yourselves to a desolate place and rest a while.” For many were coming and going, and they had no leisure even to eat. Mark 6:31
I just realized I just told the whole church to rest, but church never fully rests, we are building up for a big push in the fall. We will still have church, sermons will still be preached, there will still be Gladstone Campmeeting. We will be taking time to re-engergize, but some important changes are coming. We are working a new design look for church. You will see some changes in our emails, our website, our sign out front, our church decor. Even the way our church functions, we are gearing up for the work that must be done. Why? Because our work isn’t done yet. Pastor Victor will be leading out in a digital evangelism series in the fall. We will be creating digital media for the people who live in that space. We will reach out to the people who speak a different digital language. Instagram? Podcasts? Shorts? We are challenging ourselves to use different forms of communique to reach as many people as we can. May God be praised! Let’s finish the work, I grow tired sometimes, but our work is not done. Have a great July everyone! Get some rest, enjoy your summer, and let’s come back, ready to finish what God has already started.
